Dr. Horrox

Dr. Ilya Carson Horrox grew up on a ranch in northern California. She attended California State University, Chico where she received her bachelor degree in animal science with a minor in biology. Dr. Carson graduated from Ross University School of Medicine after completing her clinical year at Texas A&M College station in 2007. She enjoys the outdoors and is an avid horseback rider. Dr. Carson and her husband relocated to McAllen, TX in 2011 where she joined North 10th Street Animal Hospital. They have two beautiful children and two dogs named Sierra and Otis. Dr. Carson enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and takes a special interest in surgery.


Dr. Lamison

Dr. Allegra Lamison-Stansberry is a graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. She is originally from Houston and lives in McAllen with her husband, three dogs, and a cat. She enjoys reading, yoga, and the beach and sometimes tries to do all three at the same time. Her special areas of interest are avian and exotic medicine, senior pet health, and dermatology.


Dr. Peacock

Our managing veterinarian, Dr. Jennifer Gerometta Peacock, was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. After graduating valedictorian of Manistique High School in 1995, she attended Harvard University where she received her bachelors’ degree in Biology. She was a four year varsity letter winner in ice hockey while at Harvard, winning the National Championship her senior year. Dr. Peacock graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine after completing her clinical year at Iowa State University in December 2007. She joined North 23rd Street Animal Hospital in March 2008 prior to their relocation to North 10th Street Animal Hospital. Dr. Peacock is also has her certificate in Veterinary Acupuncture through the acclaimed International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. She resides in Mission, TX with her husband and their three children along with an assortment of dogs, cats, birds, and pocket pets. When she is not working at the clinic, Dr. Peacock can be found cheering her kids on at their sporting events or camping at the beach.
